A custom display for the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 phone in the AT&T flagsip stores

I had the chance to lead this project from the initial brainstorming phase all the way through to the final design. The concept was to highlight the unique 360-degree folding feature of the phone by incorporating the corners of desks and implementing customized cuts on the display.

To enhance the futuristic vibe of the display, I experimented with various color base materials and lighting effects. The goal was to make the design visually striking while ensuring it could still accommodate the necessary security systems.

Initial sketches

Sketches of different posibilities for the display

More detailed sketches of 4 primary options:

A simple design with layers of backboard and a base that looks like it is hovering susgesting the futuristic aspect of the display.

Another simple design with the base being cut out and folded like a pop-up card to emphasize the folding phone.

A more complicated display with different stands with various folded bases to showcase that the phone can be folded with various angles. The circuit board on the right side is used to point out different characteristics of the phone as well as bringing the futuristic feeling to the display itself.

This is a more fun option with all the other options' strong point and the origami animals to create a fun, eye-catching scenic view while still emphasizing the phone's special ability.
